Pavol Maryncak
Yoga teacher and massage therapist

Hi! I’m Pavol. I will be your massage therapist and yoga teacher for this unique retreat. My journey has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride, filled with highs, lows, and plenty of twists and turns. But through it all, I’ve discovered the incredible power of self-exploration and holistic healing.

It all started back when I was a young, energetic athlete, pushing the limits and occasionally paying the price with a few too many injuries. Instead of letting those setbacks hold me back, I became fascinated with the idea of healing, both physically and mentally. I kicked off my formal journey into the world of manual therapy at the Australian College of Natural Therapies where I studied massage therapy and athletic therapy back in 2007-2008. Those were some eye-opening years, learning the ins and outs of healing touch and how the body works its magic to bounce back from even the toughest knocks.

Next up, I found myself at the Slovak Medical University, diving deep into physiotherapy. When I graduated, I was given an opportunity to travel as a full-time physio for professional tennis players, so I jumped on board and roamed the world for a little while.

I first dipped my toes into the world of yoga as an inflexible teenage athlete. Over the years, my passion for yoga only grew, leading me to complete my yoga teacher training in 2012. In my eyes yoga allows us to create a unique relationship to our bodies and minds.

Fast forward to today, and I’m learning the art of osteopathy at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. It’s a whole new adventure, but one I’m tackling with the same enthusiasm and curiosity that’s guided me all along. Whether you’ re here to unwind with a massage, explore your yoga practice, or interested in learning about the principles of osteopathy, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
